Mila Banis
Hello everyone! My name is Mila and I am a 20 year old student who has a lot of creative ideas in store! I am focused on acting and everything that has to do with film. My other passions are writing, drawing and dancing. At the moment I am studying to become a dramatherapist at the HUA, where i combine my passion for acting and psychology. I am a very creative person and with this shortfilm I am striving to open a conversation about partner violence.

Mila Banis is a motivated and ambitious student that wants to use her creative ideas to talk about controversial and/or uncomfortable topics. She travels around the Netherlands to improve her knowledge of societal issues. At the moment she studies to be a dramatherapist, where she can combine her passion for acting and psychology.
As an actress (film and theater) she brings knowledge of guiding actors, acting techniques and preparing scenes to the table. Not only is she skilled as an actress, but she has directed before as a musical director. Now she wants to take a step further into film and hopefully let her vision be seen by other people + inspire the solution of societal problems.
She's fully focused on this project and is striving to create a new perspective for the youth on the heavy subject called domestic violence. "My generation doesn't speak often about a subject like this, so we don't look for any kind of solutions. Focusing on the prevention of domestic violence made me see that education is very important and that we need to break the cycle of abuse by talking about it and informing people" (Mila Banis).
